FAQ


We are a small family run business offering a great selection of beads and jewellery findings at low prices .

At present to keep our costs down we are purely internet based and do not have a shop front.  We do not currently have a printed catalogue as our stock is frequently being updated.  Our website is kept update on a regular basis with new stock, offers and discounts.

To make a purchase, simply add the items you wish to purchase using the Add To Basket button next to each item.  When you are ready to pay for your purchase you can click on the Ordering Online Online purchasing is available using our Shopping Cart. Once you have finished shopping you simple click the View Basket Button to review your purchase and Checkout.

Once you are ready to checkout simple select your method of postage (see below for more details) and your delivery details.  Once complete you will be instructed to complete checkout using your preferred method of payment.

Ordering By Email -  to order by email please email us the details of your order including the bead or findings description, quantity's, size and colour. Don't forget to also include your delivery details and a note indicating how you would like to pay for your order, PLEASE DO NOT send your credit/debit card details via email, simple tell us your preferred method of payment, if via NoChex or PayPal we will send you an invoice for payment.

For Oversea Customers we have now enabled shipping costs for both European and International customers to our shopping cart.  Please ensure you select the correct shipping for your order as any orders placed with the incorrect shipping will be refunded.  Postage & Packing costs for European and International are based on the weight of your order plus an additional 60p for packaging.

You can cancel your order at anytime by emailing us at orders@thebeadyshop.co.uk please include your name and the order ref no ie.for example Ref RC1234567.  If you would like to cancel your order once it has been dispatched please email us to let us know you are returning your items and include your order ref number.  It is your responsibility to pay the correct postage to return your items, we advise that you obtain proof of posting from the post office.

We have a range of payment methods for paying for your order online as detailed below.

Credit & Debit Card  - We accept all major credit & debit card payments.  To make your payment using your credit/debit card simple select one of our secure methods NoChex or Paypal to process your payment.

We have a range of alternative payment methods if you prefer not to pay online.

Cheques  or Postal Orders We happy to accept cheque's and postal orders for your order. Please make cheque's and postal orders payable to MRS C LEWIS and send to the following address

Please Note In order to avoid refunds & credit notes for out of stock items, we recommend you write across the bottom of the cheque Not to exceed £...(the total cost of your goods) and leave the rest of your cheque unfilled. If you have placed your order online and selected cheque's/postal orders as your choice of payment please include a printed copy of your order or the RC Ref number i.e RC1234567, to help us quickly process your order. Cheque and postal orders can take up to 4-5 days for payment to clear.

Bank Transfer Using your online bank or by popping into your local bank branch you can make your payment by bank transfer our details are as follows :

For UK customers All parcels are sent using first class royal mail post. Our postage charges are weight based and will be calculated for you when selecting First Class Royal Mail at checkout, a 60p packing fee is added to the postage costs to form your total postage cost.

FREE POSTAGE ON ORDERS OF £50 or MORE

We aim to despatch all orders within 2 working days of receipt of payment. If you have placed your order over the weekend your order will be dispatched the following Monday. Occasionally this can take a little longer if the quantity of orders we are processing is higher than normal.  Please allow a little longer during the holiday periods.

All our parcels are sent via first class royal mail, occasionally items can take a little longer than expected or can get be lost in the post, if you have not received your parcel within 7 working days from your confirmation of despatch email, please contact us at orders@thebeadyshop.co.uk and we will do our utmost to help and find our where your package has gone astray.

PLEASE NOTE That royal mail does not consider items lost in the post till 15 days from the posting date. If you have still not received you parcel after this time we will do our utmost to trace your parcel for you by contacting royal mail to try and locate it for you.

Occasionally if we are low on stock of certain items the shopping cart will automatically adjust the quantity of the items you have selected in you shopping cart.

Unfortunately there are occasions when items maybe be out of stock despite our shop quantity's showing as in stock, this will most often occur when customers are ordering at at the same time and or using different methods of ordering, which can cause a  slight delay in updating our stock.  In these instances you items will be placed on back order, you will received an order confirmation detailing which items have been place on back order and we will re order the items for you once they arrive we will dispatch your items ASAP.  Please allow 7-10 working days for back ordered items, any longer and we will email you.

If an item you have ordered has been placed on back order and it is required urgently or you simply prefer not to wait, please email us and we will happily provide a refund or send a replacement item if requested.

Occasionally some items despite being on back order may be out of stock with our supplier, when this happens you will be refunded or sent a credit note/code accordingly. Alternatively you can email us at orders@thebeadyshop.co.uk quoting your ref no i.e RC1234567 and ask for an alternative item to be sent.

Credit Notes can be issued for cheques, postal orders, or when a refund item is below 75p in value.  To use your credit code when placing your order you simply shop as usual, but on checkout you will see a Promotional Code space, enter your credit code here for your credit to be applied to your order.

Alternatively if you have a credit note/code but would prefer your refund in payment please email us and we will be happy to do so.

We hope you are happy with your purchase, if however you are not happy with your items, please contact us prior to returning all/part of your order to ensure we can process your return promptly.

For non faulty goods  your return should be made within 7 days of receiving your order and items must be returned in resalable condition with any seals intact.  Only once your items have been received can we process your refund.

For faulty items please contact as as soon as possible to advise us of the fault and return your items.  Once your items have been received we can process your refund or replacement.

We advise that you obtain proof of posting when returning any items.

Please note the following important information with regards to my handcrafted polymer clay beads and charms resembling sweets, cakes, fruit or other foodstuff. These products are sold to you, the customer, on the understanding that they will be made into items of jewellery for resale. The individual beads must not be resold by you to non-commercial (private) buyers as they do present a potential choking hazard and as such do not comply with section 4 of the Food Imitations (Safety) Regulations 1989. It is therefore your responsibility that jewellery made with Imitation Food beads is safe and secure. These beads are made of non-toxic polymer clay. They are not edible and they are not suitable for children

Unfortunately we have had to increase some of our prices, this is due to increased prices in raw materials such as metals. Where possible we have tried to keep the increases to a minimum.

For hand made items such as lamp beads and some glass beads & gemstones the colours and sizes can vary from those shown in our pictures and ocasionally from batch to batch.
